xAI is a new company working on Artificial Intelligence building to help with scientific discoveries. It is owned by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.
xAI launched its first chatbot similar to ChatGPT, which will primarily answer your questions with some additional features. A significant advantage of Grok is real-time access to the X platform’s global knowledge. It can answer questions that are rejected by other AI chatbots.
For now, it is launched as a beta product with a testing period of a maximum of two months. It will keep improving with time as it learns more and more from your actions and queries. “Grok has real-time access to info via the X platform, which is a massive advantage over other models. It’s also based on and loves sarcasm. I have no idea who could have guided it this way,” said Elon Musk.
On November 4th, Musk mentioned that Grok would be debuting its initial AI system to a carefully chosen group. However, in a subsequent tweet, Musk announced that all subscribers to X’s Premium Plus plan, priced at $16 per month, will be granted access to Grok after it completes the early beta phase.
A limited number of users in the United States have the chance to test the Grok prototype and provide valuable feedback. This feedback will assist in enhancing its capabilities before a broader release. You can also join the Grok waitlist here.
