Crypto Bear Market

The current crypto bear market have sent 'blue chip' coins prices tumbling.

With the markets experiencing extreme turmoil, both Bitcoin and Ethereum have dropped below their previous all-time highs.

  • Early Saturday morning bought new lows for Ethereum and Bitcoin. Ethereum reached a low of $987 and Bitcoin dropped to $18,926 according to CoinMarketCap.
  • Bitcoin’s previous all-time high was back in December 2017, hitting $19,834, this price was never breached prior to the current bear market.

  • Ethereum had first surpassed $1,000 back in January of 2018. From January of 2021, it had stayed above this mark comfortably.

  • As markets typically move with Bitcoins price, altcoins have been hit the hardest, losing over US$137 billion within the past week. The crypto market cap sits at a mere US$845 billion down from US$2.9 trillion back in November of 2021.
