Floyd Mayweather Re-enters The World Of Crypto With ‘Mayweverse’ NFT Project

Floyd ’Money’ Mayweather has re-entered the world of cryptocurrency with the announcement of his 2nd NFT project, dubbed Mayweverse.

The project will consist of 5 different NFTs, each NFT will have 1000 copies available to mint. Every card has its own rarity, utility, and prizes.

Despite how good it may sounds, Twitter users were quick to criticize. Floyd was reminded of his previous NFT project, which made him nearly US$5 million and is now worthless. “You already have an NFT project, it’s called @RealFloydNFT. You released it last year and then stopped working on it immediately after. Have you been punched in the head so much that you’re forgetting these things now?”

For the non-nft people out there: This is another celebrity cash grab, be careful. Floyd has launched an nft project in the past which he then rug pulled (abandoned the project).

Users were quick to call his bluff. Floyd states that he has been working on this for months, although the twitter handle @mayweverse was created this month.

Coffezilla, known for calling out rug pulls and scams within the industry tweeted his thoughts on the NFT project. He states “Floyd Mayweather is frantically deleting evidence of his last NFT scam. He’s getting roasted by the investors.”

Will this NFT collection follow in the footsteps of his previous NFT collection and be abandoned, or will he stick by his word?
