Ethereum co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, announced that he doesn’t hold his billionaire status anymore.

  • Buterins major holding is Ethereum believe it or not. With the total market cap of crypto losing almost $1 trillion within the past few weeks, Ethereum crashed from over $3,500 on April 4th to $1,950 on May 24th, a loss of over 44%.
  • At Ethereum’s high of $4,800 in November 2021, Buterins fortune was valued at a staggering $1.5 billion. We can assume that Buterin holds around 312,500 ETH, valuing his fortune today at about $609 million, not bad at all.

(btw btw I'm not a billionaire anymore)

Ethereum’s Merge To A PoS Network

  • Buterin announced at the ETH Shanghai Web 3.0 Developer Summit that the merge between the Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Work consensus is set for August this year.
  • Although this date isn’t set in stone, potential setbacks may push this back to September or October.
